yeah I know, it’s been waaaaaaay too long since I posted on here. I haven’t been online too much, except watching TV online. Spending all my time fixing people’s internet sometimes sours my idea of being on the computer. I still check email so if anyone wants to get ahold of me that’s the easiest way (although I’m not about to post it here, that would be a spam magnet). But pretty much anyone should know at least one of my emails by now.
So I’ve found a couple of TV shows I actually really like. 30 Rock is fantastic, and I’ve been watching a lot of House. I didn’t think I’d like it, but it’s pretty addictive. But one of the biggest breakout shows for me this year has been True Blood. If you haven’t seen this show you NEED to. It surrounds modern day vampires living in Louisiana. It’s more about the people who aren’t vampires, but it’s a lot about the interactions about the two groups. A lot of commentary on racism (although in this case against vampires). Although I can’t help but feel that some of the ideas are lifted from other sources. The main character, played by Anna Paquin, is a human, but she can read people’s thoughts. Everyone except this one vampire, which of course makes her attracted to him. This kinda seems like the book Twilight, which I’m reading right now (at Aubree’s suggestion) where the vampire seems to be able to read people’s thoughts except for this one girl. If I misinterpreted this, let me know
But since I know twilight came first, by at least a couple of years, it seems a little like a borrowed idea.
Oh my god, I thought I lost my post. My computer decided to rebooted without warning to install an update. I noticed the computer in the living room did that too the other day, so I guess the update must have been pretty important.
Haven’t really been up to much besides that lately (how sad is my life) except for my gaming, and here’s a quick rundown of that:
Fallout 3 – fantastic, immersive, breathtaking post apocalypic world. I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m close. That’s why I’m stalling on it, because I discovered the main quest is fairly short. Luckily there’s hours upon hours of side quests to keep me happy.
LittleBigPlanet – addictive, fun, cute, 2.5D side scrolling action with, from what I hear, has an amazing level creation mode, which also I haven’t touched because I want to play through all of the created levels so I can get as many goodies to make my levels with as possible. Of course, with my lack of creative skill, I probably won’t make anything ground breaking.
Resistance 2 – a fantastic follow up to one of the best launch titles the PS3 had. some creative weapons (a magnum that fires explosive rounds that only explode when you set them off? hells yes.) This one I have beat, but I was a little disappointed with the ending. The multiplayer is solid, although I haven’t played it as much as I’d like. I’m still trying to get a grasp on the levelling system and what it means and can do to enhance my gameplay.
Call of Duty: World at War – another awesome FPS that looks beautiful and plays as well as last year’s CoD4:MW. This is the one I’m playing through right now, and the detail put into the levels is phenominal. I’m sure the multiplayers is as fun and as addictive as CoD4 was, although I like to finish the single player campaign first. A flamethrower, Keifer Sutherland and Gary Oldman. Enough said.
So there may be some life changes happening soon. Exciting stuff. It’s too early to say anything yet (no press conferences yet) but when I can, if anything is happening, I’m sure you’ll all know by then but I’ll post it anyways.
So that’s it. Again, I’m sorry about being so long between posts, I’ll try to update more often
